The world’s wind and solar power could already be doing far more for power users - and for our planet.

Our long-duration energy storage system is a safe, practical and commercial way to unlock this potential.

About

Green Island Power’s mission is to see power consumers and the environment benefit far more from the wind and solar power that the world has already built.

To do this, we have produced a patent pending, safe, commercial energy storage system: a practical solution for the world’s wind and solar assets.

Our system design has been guided by deep appreciation of the key congestion and inefficiency challenges posed by wind and solar in power grids – and how smart approaches to hydrogen-based systems can make wind and solar much more efficient and useful.

We draw on deep experience not only from the power sector, but also from the chemical industry, in which hydrogen and oxygen have been worked and stored safely for decades.

Our system delivers on its two core design principles; deploy only safe, existing, accessible technology and make it commercial – not dependant on subsidy.

Doing more for power users.

Doing more for our planet.

People

Our patent-pending, practical and commercial wind and solar energy storage system has been developed by a core group including internationally-recognised scientists, engineers and energy sector reform specialists. We bring clear, critical thinking to better energy storage system design. We are fortunate to draw on passionate and professional members with decades of experience across many complementary fields.
